Please join is on June 25 for a special event that we will be directly involved with. On Friday, June 25th, we will be at the Kingfish restaurant in San Mateo, from 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM, downstairs in the old Blues Club, currently referred to as the Governor's Room. Its been a while since we have played at the Kingfish Restaurant and we see this as a great opportunity to do something for the community and to get together with our friends for a night of dancing to live music to support a good cause.

We have a busy spring and summer ahead of us. I will continue to email out our gigs for the current week. However, we have several noteworthy future dates in the Spring and Summer I would like to share with you.

May 16 (Friday) Aragon Foundation Fundraiser @ Kingfish 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM This is both a celebration and an attempt to raise a little more money for the Aragon foundation. They have managed to raise $450k+ and have less than $50 to go. This money will be used to put an all-weather surface (track & field) on their existing athletic field. This will benefit the athletic program and also allow students and the community access to the field year around. There is a donation of $25 at the door. We will be playing a special event at Kingfish (San Mateo) on February 9th, 9 PM - 12 AM. It is open to the public and will be held in the Estate Room upstairs. This is a beautiful location for live music.

We have played several private parties in this location and it is a beautiful place. Please come by and join us for a very special evening with us.

We are scheduled to play a fundraiser out in Pacifica at the Community Center in Linda Mar, Pacifica. If you would like to come to this event please take a look at the flyer (view image) and contact Kristi Foster (650) 355-3311 or Charlotte Jacobs (650) 359-6033 to make your reservation.

You will need to purchase your ticket in advance - they will not be sold at the door. Tickets cost $40, you get a nice crab dinner and some wine, and some good entertainment.

I am pleased that we have been invited to participate in the 6th Annual Toy Drive at the Little Fox, hosted by Veronica Mora. For the last 6 years, Veronica Mora has been holding this event to bring some joy to under privileged children in Juarez, Mexico.

By coincidence, we ended up being the house band for Slashdot's 10th anniversary party last night at the Blue Chalk Cafe in Palo Alto. I am a longtime Slashdot reader. I have been around since the beginning in late 1997, so it was a pleasure for me to be part of the event. (My Slashdot reader's name is Brindle and my ID is in around 8500.)

I think Slashdot was one of the pioneers of the weblog. I am sure they are the first website that I came across that used this format. At the time it was unique, in that it provided a rich source of information in a single location and gave the reader the ability to participate by posting comments. It was also nice because the moderators filtered the stories and provided their own often humorous or insightful comments.

Eoin has done it again. Another solid year of O'Neill's Irish Pubs is in the books. We were given the call to cover for John of 24/7 who was under the weather, to provide the entertainment for the event.

Eoin has been very successful with his pubs. Last year he opened his San Francisco Pub which is on 3rd street literaly across the street from the ballpark. Its a beautiful place that provides a warm meeting point before the ballgames and also a meeting place for the neighborhood. Its also just a 25 minute train ride to get to the San Mateo Pub.

We will be playing Nicks Restaraunt/Motel again in Pacifica, Saturday, July 15th from 8-12 PM. Nick's is a great venue for live music and will surely be a very special event. The Bar is literally located on the water and you can see the Ocean and the Waves from the stage. I am hoping we can get a good group of people together at this event.

This venue is also a motel, and offers rooms at very reasonable prices, ~$80. Please see the Nicks website for more information.

Please join us with Eoin O'Neill to celebrate the 8th anniversay of O'Neill's Irish Pub. I have known Eoin for about 5 years and watched his pub grow to one of the most popular nightspots on the Peninsula. He has done this by being a warm and gracious host, offereing a friendly pub environment, excellent service from his staff and booking some of the best bands around. =)

On a related note, Eoin's second pub in San Francisco is nearing completion and will be open any day now.

Just wanted to let everyone know that O'Neill's will be officially open to the public on Friday April 14th, the day after the 8th Anniversary of the San Mateo pub. We'd like to wish th Best of Luck to Eoin who has to be one of the best pub proprietors out there.

The pub is located near the Giants Ballpark in San Francisco at 747 3rd St at King, next to happy doughnuts, just down the street from the Willie Mays Statue out in front of the Ball Park. Please stop by and check it out if you aren't planning on stopping by the Blue Chalk in Palo Alto to listen to us playing. =)

I am posting regarding an event that a good friend of mine Maria Maldondo is participating. The event is a fund raiser for the AFSP - The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We are not playing at this event but I feel this website is a good forum to help support our friends in their personal endeavors.

The Rodeo Clowns will be hosting the Acoustic Sunday at O'Neill's Irish Pub on Super Bowl Sunday. Please come by to enjoy the music and/or bring your instrument and sit in with us. Since the first Sunday of the month falls on Superbowl Sunday, we will be playing off to the left of the stage, which is originally where we played, in order to accomodate a big screen television that will be in the main stage area.

We will be playing during the halftime show and resume playing when the game is over. We hope to see you there!
