June 25th Fundraiser for the Festa Foundation @ Kingfish Restaurant

Please join is on June 25 for a special event that we will be directly involved with. On Friday, June 25th, we will be at the Kingfish restaurant in San Mateo, from 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM, downstairs in the old Blues Club, currently referred to as the Governor's Room. Its been a while since we have played at the Kingfish Restaurant and we see this as a great opportunity to do something for the community and to get together with our friends for a night of dancing to live music to support a good cause.

The organization is the Festa Foundation who provides support to agencies that help people with developmental disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. For more information please go to their website.

The Festa Foundation has several events each year, such as the Festa Italiano a large Italian Festival held in downtown San Mateo on B Street. I have volunteered to manage stage 2. I hope to see everyone out there in support of the local community and enjoying the live music.

Please contact John Lawton or Ken Constantino. A tax-deducable donation of $50 per person is requested for this event. Please make your donations payable directly to the Festa Foundation, their tax ID is 38-3662004.

The evening will start at 8:30 PM with a complementary cocktail and appetizers. Live music by the Rodeo Clowns band (thats us!) will start at 9 PM and we'll play 2 sets of music up to 11 PM.

Recap:

I'd have to say the evening was a success. We had a good showing of friends come out and a good time was had by everyone. We started playing around 8:30 PM and ended up closing shop around 11:40 PM. We managed to cover costs and end up with a nice contribution to the Festsa Foundation. Thanks again Mr. Constantino for your help in making this happen and to everyone who came out to support the cause and to those of you who couldn't make it but sent in checks anyways.
